Valeriu Traian Frenţiu (April 25, 1875 - July 11, 1952, Sighet) was the Bishop of the Diocese of Oradea Mare of the Romanian Greek Catholic Church from 1922 to 1952.[1][2]

Life and career

In the beginning of his career Frenţiu has worked for 8 years as priest in the Greek-Catholic parish of Orăștie, also, fulfilling the rector position of the Cugir archpriest district. The Appointment Decison was signed by the bishop of Lugoj Vasile Hossu at 15th, on september 1904. He was appointed, in 1912 in the Hațeg dean function. A year later will be raised in order to bishop of Lugoj and then of Oradea.
